Action Attic
The development of psychomotor skills in childhood enables children to organise the outside world through their bodies, contributing to their intellectual, affective, and social development. Psychomotor skills and their early development help children to master their body through balance and movement, preparing them for the motor needs of the environment and daily life.
A range of activities which value the psychomotor domain through use of motor skills, physical movement and coordination. Sensory walk, Lacing beads, Indoor basketball, Balance beams, Art studio, Dance studio and many more lead to agility, flexibility, precision, endurance, speed and strength.
Brain boost
Energising the cognitive domain- Creating a knowledge base, promoting critical thinking and problem solving aptitude with Language corner, BEAR corner, Puzzle it out, Weave a Story etc. lead to developing comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation skills.
Heart home
At Woodnote, the heart isn’t ignored while focusing on the mind. The ‘affective domain’, relating to the EQ of the child is given equal importance as the IQ. We have special activities such as Bucket Fill, Zones of Regulation, Thinking Chair, Let Us Talk or We Time, Yoga, Shinrin Yoku, Music Matters etc. leading to an empathetic, socially active and emotionally balanced child.
Tinkering and Discovery
A place where children are encouraged to pursue their ideas, test how materials work, experiment, and ultimately combine materials and ideas together in new, inventive ways to satisfy their curiosity and make them more curious. The Woodnote Numeracy Niche & TinkerLab is all about Science, Discovery, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. A host of Playful Barracks, Do and Learn, Magic with Numbers, Math-Manipulatives etc. leads to critical and creative thinking, innovation, design thinking, collaboration and leadership skills in the child while following the 6E methodology.
